"Renew Your Mind"

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the enemy (Satan) and his cohorts seem to come at us with all the force of hell, attacking our re-created spirit to stop us from moving forward in our new status, i.e., recreated spirit. It is vitally, critically important that we renew our minds, constantly with the word of God
Not only does the passage in Romans 12:2 tell us to be transformed, but it tells us how to be transformed. Like a loving Father, Jesus tells us to do something and provides specific instructions on the HOW to.

Let's look at a few words and their definitions from the above passage:

Conformed; to form or mold. World; the word for age or era.

Instead of being formed or molded by this world that we live in, we are to be transformed from this world spiritually, by renewing our minds, with the word of God. This transformation takes place in the heart and the mind. A mind that is renewed by the world's way of thinking will only produce a life of confusion. A mind that is renewed with the word of God will produce the God kind of peace in every area of your life and will stand against the world's way of thinking.

When you allow the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and actions, you are allowing your spirit to be formed and molded to God's way of thinking and acting.

The more we renew our minds with the word of God, the more our Christian life/lifestyle will change and glorify God and in doing so, we are proving what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
